I packaged some items that belonged to my deceased father and sent them to his sister in Independence, Missouri. UPS claims that it was delivered, and told us the day and the time roughly that it was delivered. My aunt has surveillance cameras all over her place, and has never had issues with stealing prior to this delivery. I filed a report with UPS, explained to them that there was no delivery that day around that time, and they said they would open an investigation. Within weeks I got an email saying that the investigation was closed because the package was delivered. I explained to them that we have evidence that shows that there was no delivery that day, but they said it was delivered. They refuse to listen to what I’m saying, and refuse to payout for the claim. All of my dad‘s belongings were not worth much, they were all of sentimental value, things like his 74th birthday candles, which was his last birthday he had here on earth. Collectibles from when he was a kid some of my grandparents things that he had. UPS could not care less. Unfortunately, when I shipped the items, I shipped it in a Ryobi tabletop tile cutter box. I’m assuming the driver thought it was the actual tile cutter and he probably stole the package. I don’t say this lightly, but if UPS is telling me the package was scanned right there, but my cameras are showing that they never arrived, that means it was scanned on the truck and it left on the truck. I think UPS is awful for not trying to locate this, these are things that I can never get back. My father just passed away, and they couldn’t care less. UPS has the capability to look into this further, but they’re refusing to truly investigate. Shame on them.
