Google has established a partnership with SiriusXM, where SiriusXM Media is the exclusive Audio ads representative for YouTube in the United States. To run audio campaigns targeting users in the United States, advertisers will need to set up those campaigns directly through SiriusXM. For all campaigns targeting other countries, standard auction access remains available through your campaign location settings.

Benefits
To establish a unified campaign management experience, advertisers can set up and manage their YouTube audio campaigns in the United States directly through SiriusXM. This allows them to coordinate their YouTube campaigns incrementally alongside their existing SiriusXM audio inventory, leveraging expanded audience reach and campaign scale through a single partner. What you can do
If you need to target users in the United States for your audio ads campaigns, starting September 1, 2026, you will need to set up those campaigns through our exclusive partner, SiriusXM. To get started, please fill out their signup form, and their team will reach out to you. Meanwhile, advertisers targeting users outside of the United States, can continue using Display & Video 360 YouTube audio line items as they do today.
Timelines
These changes will occur in two phases:
- Phase 1 (Starting September 1, 2026): You will no longer be able to create new audio campaigns targeting the United States, or edit targeting configurations on existing campaigns to add US targeting. You’ll be able to do so with SiriusXM. Existing campaigns targeting the United States will continue serving normally through November 4, 2026.
- Phase 2 (Starting November 5, 2026): Standard auction-based audio campaigns targeting users in the United States will officially cease serving.
Considerations for existing campaigns
Here are some considerations to keep in mind when managing your campaign targeting:
- Location defaults: "All countries and territories" default option will change to "All countries and territories except the United States" in Display & Video 360.
- Multi-country targeting: If your active campaign targets the United States alongside other countries, United States-based serving will stop on November 5, 2026, but your campaign will continue serving normally in all other countries. Starting September 1, 2026, if you attempt to create a new campaign or edit targeting on an existing campaign, the system will prevent you from saving until the United States is removed from your geographic targets.
- Radius targeting: Radius targets crossing the United States border and location interest targets are blocked from serving.
- Duplication and Structured Data Files (SDF): Because the system blocks saves that include United States targeting starting September 1, 2026, attempting to duplicate an existing United States-targeted campaign or making bulk edits using SDF that include United States geographic targets will result in an error. Ensure you remove United States targeting before duplicating or uploading SDFs.
